Golden Bammy Slices
1 Cut each Bammy in 4 pieces.
2 Soak in water for 5 minutes. (Slices should be completely submerged.) Check Bammy, it should not be too soft, as some bammies have very little starch to hold them together. Soak longer if Bammy is still hard.
3 Pour off water and spread with margarine.
4 Grill about 8 minutes on one side and 5 minutes on the other.
5 Steam in a steamer until cooked.
6 Fry in deep fat until golden brown or fry in fat about ½ inch deep.

- 2 six inch bammies
- 3 cups cold water
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 oz. soft margarine
